Three things that
make us different.
Data-Informed, Every Time.
Every rate we quote and every carrier we match starts with real market data — not guesswork. Our market intelligence tools track live lane conditions and carrier availability across North American corridors so your pricing reflects current market conditions.
Compliance Isn't Optional. It's Our Baseline.
Carriers are onboarded through our documented compliance and safety screening process. CVOR. NSC. FMCSA. Non-negotiable. We arrange freight exclusively with carriers who have cleared our onboarding requirements. Each carrier operates as an independent contractor and is solely responsible for the safe operation of their equipment and personnel.
Relationships That Outlast the Load.
We don't move loads. We manage lanes. Every shipper we work with is treated as a long-term partner — not a transaction. That means proactive communication, lane expertise over time, and a team that knows your freight before you call.
By the Numbers.
Carrier Compliance Isn't a Feature.
It's Our Foundation.
Our carrier onboarding process is built around documented compliance and safety screening. We review CVOR standing, NSC safety ratings, FMCSA registration, and insurance credentials before a carrier is added to our network. We arrange freight exclusively with carriers who have met these onboarding requirements — and we don't post loads on public load boards. Each carrier in our network is an independent contractor. Byte Lane does not direct, supervise, or control carrier operations or driver conduct.
NSC — National Safety Code
Canada's national carrier safety framework, adopted across multiple provinces. Canadian carriers in our network are reviewed for NSC safety rating standing as part of our onboarding process.
CVOR — Commercial Vehicle Operator's Registration
Required for commercial carriers operating in Ontario. Carriers operating Ontario lanes are reviewed for active CVOR standing as part of our onboarding screening process. CVOR status is subject to change and is the independent responsibility of each carrier.
FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration)
U.S. and cross-border carriers are reviewed against publicly available FMCSA registration and safety data as part of our onboarding process. Carriers are independent entities and are solely responsible for maintaining their regulatory standing.
CBSA & FAST (Cross-Border)
Cross-border moves require CBSA compliance and FAST program participation. We arrange cross-border freight with carriers who have confirmed cross-border authority and FAST program standing at the time of onboarding.
A Network Built on
Standards, Not Volume.
We maintain a carrier base built on documented onboarding requirements. We don't post loads publicly or arrange freight with carriers that haven't cleared our screening process. If your operation maintains active compliance standing, operates professionally, and is looking for consistent lane volume with a partner who pays on schedule and communicates clearly — we want to hear from you.
Consistent Lane Volume
Work lanes that match your equipment and region. No scrambling for random loads.
Fast, Reliable Payments
We pay on schedule with transparent settlement practices. Professional operation from quote to settlement.
Professional Partnership
Clear communication, reasonable expectations, and a team that respects your time and your operation.

Topics
We serve SMB and mid-market shippers across Canada, the U.S., and cross-border lanes. If you're moving freight regularly — whether a few loads a month or daily — and you want a logistics partner who knows your lanes and your freight, we're built for you.
Fill out the contact form below with your lane details, freight type, and what you're looking for. We'll get back to you quickly — no sales scripts, no runaround. Just a direct conversation about whether we're the right fit.
Every carrier match starts with real market data — current lane conditions, carrier availability, and equipment type. We don't guess or rely on stale rate sheets. Your carrier is selected from our compliance-vetted base based on who's available, qualified, and positioned for your specific lane.
Our target is under two hours for carrier matching on most lanes. For well-travelled corridors — Toronto–Montreal, Vancouver–Calgary, Toronto–Chicago cross-border — it's typically faster. Specialized freight or off-corridor moves may take longer, and we'll always give you an honest timeline upfront.
No. We arrange freight exclusively through our carrier network. Loads are not posted publicly. We work directly with carriers who have completed our onboarding process — not open load board respondents.
Yes. We cover both FTL (dedicated truckload) and LTL (shared/partial loads) across Canadian domestic, U.S. domestic, and cross-border lanes. Equipment availability — Dry Van, Reefer, Flatbed, Stepdeck — applies to both.
Our onboarding process involves reviewing publicly available compliance and safety records for each carrier: CVOR standing (Ontario), NSC safety ratings (Canadian provinces), FMCSA registration and safety data (U.S. and cross-border), and CBSA/FAST credentials for cross-border lanes. We review insurance documentation as well. Carriers that don't meet our onboarding requirements are not added to our network. Each carrier operates as an independent contractor and is solely responsible for their own regulatory compliance and safe operation.
We manage CBSA and FAST requirements end-to-end, including carrier qualification and pre-arrival documentation support. We match cross-border shipments exclusively to carriers with confirmed cross-border authority and active compliance standing.
